Take a test drive!
Once you’ve narrowed down your search, the next step is up and behind the wheel for a test drive. The salesperson may be in the car with you to answer any immediate question, or let you take it out on the road solo. But rest assured, they will be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Safety first!
Our dealership partners put your safety first by ensuring that your new car purchase has all of its safety features in place – new brakes, working seatbelts, operational airbags, a reliable engine – the dealership’s mechanics will give all cars a thorough check-up before it leaves the lot and transfers into your possession.
Fiscal arrangement
Our dealers will also take the edge off of financing arrangements, thanks to their established finance departments. Often, Calgary-area used car dealerships have their own finance department, securing for you the best possible interest rate and payment plan. The dealership’s financial specialists will outline the ins and outs of the car loan, laying out in writing the payment terms, schedules and deposit requirements. And, with interest rates on the low end, these specialists can work out a manageable pay-back arrangement geared to your budget.
After-care services
Just like the dealerships’ finance department works out a schedule, their maintenance department will organize a schedule for car maintenance – regular oil changes, tune-ups, tire rotation and replacement, among others. Some used car dealerships will issue reminder calls, mailings or e-mails to ensure you are up-to-date on your maintenance needs. These factory-trained mechanics are already familiar with your car, having performed the pre-buy inspection. The relationship is already forged. Why not trust the same professionals with your regular maintenance? And, being factory-trained, these mechanics have and continue to receive the comprehensive, up-to-date training on how to repair your vehicle.
Is there a guarantee?
While many used cars in Calgary have already gone through the life of their initial warranties, the car’s new owners can purchase an extended warranty on parts and service – some for up to four years or a certain mileage. Of course, regular wear and tear items like brakes, tires and belts are not included, items like the air conditioning system, transmission and chassis system are covered.
Did you have a good car buying experience the first time? Then come back! Many dealerships offer their established, repeat customers incentives to return when it’s time to upgrade their present vehicle. Whether it’s a rebate on their new purchase, a good trade-in arrangement or gift certificates for free oil changes and tune-ups, our dealers want your business!
